How to create a test? – short version

Testportal allows you to create tests tailored to your needs. In the Test configuration menu, you can define the type of questions, test sets, access to the test, grading criteria, time limit, and many more.

To create an assessment, go to the My tests menu and select New test button.

Time limits are very important

After configuring the test, go through all tabs in the Test Configuration menu again and check the settings.

Test activation

There are two ways to activate the test:

  • Use the Activate test option if you have selected Manual test activation in the Time settings.

  • Use the Schedule test option if you have selected Activation in a set time period in the Time settings. The test will then activate itself at the set time.

Sharing the test

The next steps depend on the type of test access you have chosen.

If you have chosen individual access codes, they will be automatically sent to respondents' email addresses just before the test is set to begin.

If you chose a link as the access type, remember to copy it and paste it and send it to the respondents by email, chat, or other communication tool.

When your test can be accessed using a group password, provide the respondents with the sub-domain page address and the password.

Activate the test

Test is ready to be shared - Well done!

After configuring the first test, we recommend taking it yourself before making it available to the respondents. This will allow you to see it from the other side and prepare for any questions from the respondents. When you complete the test, you will see the result in the Test results.
