The first AI quiz, exam and test maker

AI question generator is here. It marks the beginning of a revolution in how we assess skills and knowledge. Even though Artificial Intelligence is in its infancy, it has the potential to save time, money and reduce the impact of human error or bias factors. AI can streamline test-making, increase productivity and, consequently, revenue.

That’s why at Testportal, we are giving you the option to generate online quizzes, tests and exams with AI. We want your online assessments to be better, more accessible and more effective.

Note that the new feature is available for our business plan users only. If you want to buy a Testportal subscription that supports AI-based test generation, see our business pricing.

How to create an online test with AI?

Artificial intelligence is a complicated matter, but we wanted to make using it as simple as possible. To generate an online test with AI, follow these steps:

  1. Provide Testportal AI with input - a knowledge source that it'll use as a base to generate a test, quiz or exam. It works with any content, even not publically available, for example, product brochures, internal knowledge databases, etc. You can use PDF / Microsoft Word files or copy-pasted text.

  2. Select the number of questions and their type (currently available are single- and multiple-choice).

  3. Let our algorithms analyze text to suggest questions and answers.

  4. Accept AI’s suggestions or provide more input and generate them again.

  5. Review generated questions. Add attachments and more answers (if required).

  6. When your questions are ready, select test settings (time limits, access type, Honest Respondent Technology, etc.), and activate the test or schedule it for a future date.
